How do I keep the heat out this summer?

Large glass surfaces bring light and atmosphere, but unfortunately, in summer, they often increase the temperature inside the house.

Fortunately, there are many solutions to prevent heat from entering. Sun protection can take the form of curtains or blinds, screens, film or sun-blocking glazing.

External protection such as roller shutters, blinds and Venetian blinds are even more effective. However, if you want to maintain your view of the outside world, it is better to choose an awning or drop-arm awning.

Anything that helps prevent light (and the heat that comes with it) from entering the room or accumulating in solid materials (masonry), where it will take days to dissipate, will improve your comfort.

Indoor sun shades

This will allow you to see how much colour distortion the coating causes on the light as it falls in. 


Outdoor sun shades

But preventing the heat from entering the house is an even more efficient solution. You can do this with:

  • roller shutters
  • shutters
  • outdoor blinds
  • screens
  • louvers and so on.

These solutions all keep out the heat - but also the light. Do you want to continue to enjoy your view? Then choose an awning or an articulated sun shade.
