Where does the condensation inside my home come from? How do I get rid of it ?

It's a common situation: after   the building has been properly insulated and  the doors and windows have been draught-proofed , the occupants seecondensation appear inside their home.

Over-insulated buildings: watch out for  condensation!

As much as it is important to properly insulate your home to keep your energy consumption under control  and to optimise your living comfort, you also need to make sure  the air is able to  circulate inside  your home to evacuatedamp.
At all times, insulation works and draught-proofing efforts should go hand in hand with ventilation. As amatter of comfort, hygiene  but also of safety. In addition to the problems that may be caused by damp, poor air circulation increases the risk of the formation of carbon monoxide.

The answer to prevent condensation: ventilate the place

One of the solutions is to fit the window frames with ventilation rails with adjustable openings .
Also consider  having high and low air vent grilles fitted in the doors to the various rooms.
